So I was a Troy Dealer and I did clear my shelves of all Troy Products due to the hiring of Dale Monroe at Troy Asymmetric(a division of Troy Industries).
This Week I attended a Dealer Show promoted by one of our wholesalers and vocalized my opinion (as many here and around our shop know I DO) of employing a JBT like Dale Monroe. The Rep from Troy Industries " Ken " made a statement that puzzled me a bit but was also very murky?? I stopped to discuss this matter at length and naturally "Ken" wanted to push past this matter and direct me to the new items Troy had to offer and so on... "Ken" Stated that Troy has terminated Dale Monroe and that Troy Asymmetric is a complete WASH going nowhere. He continually told me Dale Monroe WAS A HUGE MISTAKE and should be a NON-Issue. He Is Gone is what I was told by the REP from TROY. This rep told me the mistake was made by another employee in charge of hiring for asymmetric But I then pointed out that Steve Troy himself Defended this guy and got the run around about how Troy is such a big place that Steve can not possibly know everything going on in the company.........(sounded a lot like the things we here from politicians) Here is the Problem I have, There has been NO PUBLIC announcement of said dismissal of Dale Monroe nor has there been ANY Public discussion from Troy since this controversy erupted and the Steve Troy Defense of said hire. So I have Questions: Is Dale Monroe in ANY WAY on the pay role of ANY entity of the World of Troy? Does Steve Troy Still Believe he made a just hire of a just man? Have the Folks who were involved in the hiring's been reprimanded or at least educated on some level? Hiding Under the Desk Is NOT a sound business decision in this case. Who's telling the truth and who is trying to shade it. Where Does the World of Troy (Steve Troy) stand on this issue? |

I put forth a little effort on this and made a few phone calls, I will relay what I was told and let you decide:
I spoke to Mike Kirby by telephone this afternoon (Assistant Director of Training @ Troy Asymmetric); He told me that Dale Monroe was never Employed by Troy Asymmetric and that he was a sub-contractor that the (now former) Director of training had chosen to use as a trainer for explosives and tactical training. He (Mike) stated that Dale Monroe had never actually received any paid contracts due to the overwhelming shit storm that had developed after the announcement of Dale Monroe as a trainer and that there was a decision made soon after the Steve Troy defensive facebook posting to "Wash our hands of the matter completely" Thus No public statement was given. Mike explained that it was poor judgment and that the former director of training did not properly vet a couple of hires and though he wouldn't confirm it had anything to do with the phrase "former director of training" it felt as though this was the reason he is now the "acting director of training". He would not confirm if it was a resignation or dismissal.... My Opinion: I would really like to see in some sort of official capacity here on this forum, facebook or whatever media they believe will reach us; an announcement stating the facts concerning this matter. We have received nothing after the statement from Troy that defended this low life and I think those of us who buy and sell these product deserve to know who it is we are (or are not) supporting. I was left with the impression that the person who did this hiring (or contracting) was; well lets just say no longer with troy due to the poor choices made in trainers but that was not confirmed and left in the gray of the conversation. |

Your obstinance on this matter and stiff necked approach, has got to have cost you thousands upon thousands of bucks. I would think that a public clearing of this matter, MIGHT set you straight again with the customers. But I'll damn well assure you, that the longer it goes, the more chance guys like me will never return. Lay your nuts on the table bro. Let's hear it. |
