I purchased a TRX 308 (STRX-E3D-12BT-00) from Brownells for my S&W M&P-10 in 308. Installing the Battlerail was pretty straight forward, and looks great on the M&P-10. My problem is that I cant get iron sites to zero properly with the rail. I have tried both GG&G BIUS (GGG-1393) and Troy BIUS (SSIG-FBS-FMBT-00). I purchased the front sights for the straight rail not the gas block. With these front sights, I cant dial down the front aperture far enough. the gun will shoot a nice group at 50 yards, but 7 inches low. Also, I have to put in a great deal of windage correction as well. More than normal. I thought that maybe I mounted the front rail incorrectly, so I took the sights off and mounted the rail by placing the gun upside down on a granite countertop and then tightening the rail in place. What am I missing? |
