Hey, gents. I was curious if Daniel Defense has any plans to sell their polymer dust covers as an individual component/part for rifle builders. Any possibility?

Not sure about that, but I replaced my metal DD dust cover with a polymer Strike Industries ultimate dust cover (UDC) and its been great

I just bought the new 2016 V7 and when I first saw that polymer dust cover I was all but now that I've had it for a while and used it I'm all . I bet if you contacted them they would sell you one.

Being sort of an old fuddy-duddy myself, I was initially surprised by their new polymer dust cover.  However, I'm firmly sold on them now and if they begin offering it for retail sales at some point down the road, I will certainly snag up several.

Lighter, doesn't bend, not affected by heat/cold.  At the end of the day it's just a cover I don't see why people are or were getting so bent out of shape by the change to a polymer cover.

Also, they don't rust and they seal the ejection port better to keep out dust, dirt, etc.
