I got a new DD upper a couple weeks ago for my build and I got the gun out of my safe the other day and the upper was a white chalky color. I sprayed it down with Remington Gun oil and wiped it with an old tee shirt and it looked OK. Put it back in the safe and got it out a couple days later and same thing. What gives??

Try cleaning it real good with some Gunscrubber or some other solvent, and then hit it with the rem-oil.

Just keep hitting it.  Mine does the same thing.

Eventually it will stop doing that, but even if it doesnt....know that its absolutely fine and still will kill the zombies.

Same here with a DD lower.  I just sprayed a cloth with some Mpro and wipe it down.  Then use a silicone treated cloth and it will be fine after a few wipes.

I take any new parkerized (ar15) parts I get and soak (spray) them with CLP.  I will leave them in a tub and spray them a few more times over the next day or two.  It all soaks in and I know even if a part is covered by something else, it has a good layer of oil in the finish.

My DD upper came covered in enough oil to last a lifetime.
