I recently purchased one of your 14.5 lightweight barrels and am having trouble installing a

handguard cap. If I leave the handguard cap off the FSB pins line up and install fine. If I try to install the

cap it pushes the fsb over to far to install pins.

Update * fixed problem by putting a light bevel on inside of cap so it fits flush with shoulder

maybe it's trying to say it wants a free float handrail? is the cap deformed/bent?

The cap isn't bent, but is a tight fit on the barrel. There seems to be a slight step up right before the shoulder.
I wonder is the cap is out of spec.
