I have three RRA rifles, with plans for two more, until now. To say I'm pissed off is an understatement. This is completely unacceptable.
At the moment, I hoping their PR is just terrible, and they were hoodwinked by a lobbyist. But their lack of an official statement saying that 100% oppose this and are terminating their membership in the IFMA is very worrisome. I'm holding off on any RRA purchases until such a statement is released. |

A press release 4 days too late. Wonder what kind of bullshit spin they will put on this. So glad I sold my RRA AR over a year ago.

|
|
If true fuck them.
I've done business with RRA since 2005. Have 1 RRA factory rifle, 1 complete factory upper, 3 or 4 two stage triggers, a bunch of lower parts kits from them. I always regarded them as quality kit. If they sold out I hope they go out of business. |

My first AR was a DPMS. While it is a fine rifle and has served me quite well in NRA High Power for the past nine years, it is made in Minnesota.
Screw Minnesota. My next two AR's came from Rock River, and are were excellent rifles. I'm on the verge of buying a new A2 match upper, and it's down to either RRA or White Oak Armament (who is ALSO from Illinois). Was leaning toward RRA... but we'll see. |

Nobody buys anything from RRA anymore anyway. The way the gun industry is since the election you can buy it from who ever makes it for RRA for the same price they sell it to RRA. My guess is that after this they are done.

Standing with their IFMA, going out of their way to say along side Sprinfield Armory.
If they'd fired the one & distanced the other plus say they would not accept the special treatment in the legislation, 'maybe' a little different. They did not do any of the above though.... |

I am a total newb to this forum but have been an active shooting sports enthusiast for a long time. I wanted to come join here to share my feelings of how utterly APPALLING I find the actions of Rock River Arms and Springfield Armory. To sell out your Illinois dealers, FFL's and customers in order to carve out a beefy exemption for yourselves might be the single dumbest business decision I've seen made in the firearms industry this century. Your industry is over stocked, over crowded, and it's a 100% buyers market for the foreseeable future. Not only that, you have a gazillion anti's with deep pockets trying to screw us all more and more everyday. Jesus, I seriously can't believe this decision. You deserve to go out of business, IMHO, and I hope you do. I vote with my wallet, and guess what, you're not even on the ballot any longer. The people who I feel bad for are your employees. You did them no favors. The news of this decision has spread so far and wide on social media, you'll never get past it. Power to the Pro2A people.

Steve/RRA View Quote I'm done with your products. I will actively steer new shooters away from RRA and SA. I'm just an average, middle class guy who loves to shoot. I'm tired of being shit on and sold out by politicians and companies who are supposed to have my interests at heart. Time to start holding you people accountable. |

Did I read that statement right? Their paid lobbiest represented the opposing interest as the client? Like in this analogy:
A person is arrested for a crime they didn't commit Hires a high dollar lawyer Out on bail for months while both sides work the case Pays lawyer the whole time while ignoring every detail of case's progress Goes to court, person's high dollar lawyer says "mutherfucker is guilty, put him in jail" Like that? Really? |

How did you do the impossible and get a press release out, Steveo? Remember the people out of the office, time-zone conundrums and the impossible logistics?
The World Wide Web will see that you're hoisted upon your own petard. Greed & Pride go before a fall. Idiots. |
