| I tried to screw my new suppressor (SWR Spectre II) onto my AR but it only goes on about half way and I can't spin it anymore. I even have a .200 spacer on it to fill the .400/.600 gap and it doesn't make it that far. I took the thread protector from my P22 barrel and it screws onto the AR all the way down and my AR flash hider screws on all the way on my P22. I know there is an O-ring in the threads of the supprssor but it doesn't even get to it. The suppressor is not bottoming out either. I took the suppressor's end cap off to see it from the inside and the tip of the barrel threads only goes about half way in. Does anyone have any ideas about why it will not screw on all the way it is supposed to? |

the suppressor screws onto my p22 without a problem.
the p22 thread protector screws onto the AR and p22 without a problem. the AR flash hider screws onto the AR and p22 without a problem. None of the threads are cross threaded. I cleaned the AR threads and it didnt make any difference. I have not tried a tap/die. I'm hoping to pick up a newly threaded 10/22 barrel from a local gunsmith tomorrow so I may run it by him and see what he thinks and see if his suppressors screw onto it |
