It's unlikely.
Even though we use a custom-production model, we still are, first and foremost, a manufacturer rather than a "custom" shop. Small quantities of anything drive up th ecost of everything, or more dramatically, that one product. For instance, to do an upper or two with a special barrel requires a run of 100+ barrels. We can't sit on the other 98 barrels, selling one now and again, for the two initial requests. There is still a place in the world for the custom gunsmith, and having a custom LAR-8 barrel made by a custom barrel manufacturer and then installed by someone who knows what they're doing is a great example of the vital role filled by these smiths. Thanks for asking, and I will keep it under advisement, just in case the demand is such that we might be able to justify it in the future. Steve/RRA |
