So I like the idea of the PPS, as I have three RRA's and I want a piston system.  Only problem is that I just can't stand the current handquard on the PPS carbine.  I see the site says that new rails are supposed to be released in 2010.  So when will these new rails be offered?  I want to get a PPS ordered, but I am not going to do so until I can order one with a new rail.

About the time the carbines release (in about four weeks) I should have the rails available for order both as a sub/upgrade and as a seperate component.  Theh'll probably actually be shipping a few weeks after that.

Will the PDS Carbine use standard AR-15 bolts and barrels therefore making it able to convert to other calibers i.e. 6.8 spc? Also, which parts of the system are proprietary, from what I can gather the system will use a "purpose-designed bolt carrier" which sounds like a proprietary system, which isn"t a problem if extra BCG's become available for purchase on the website in the future such as a full-auto version. I understand that we are discussing a yet unreleased product but with the PDS Carbine being made available in the next few weeks it would ease potential buyers such as myself, holiday season is right around the corner, if we had a little more information on the rifle. A breakdown video would be very helpful and would probably increase sales. Thanks.

See my reply above where you posted the identical question in the RRA Forum thread.

Thanks for the reply, I posted here first but decided it would be better to post in the original RRA forum section, thanks again,

Just finalized the design for the tri-rails and we'll be making chips this afternoon.
I'll get a photo up (either here and/or on the RRA website) as soon as I have one anodized.
