Any news? I know that this subject has been brought up by myself and other over the last two years. I am getting anxious with the new administration. I would love to order or purchase a upper with mags before the administration changes regulations and laws.
I purchased a RRA 9mm complete rifle hoping to get the .40 upper so I could just swap uppers. This is a project I started for my children. I just fear that I will not be able to do this because of RRA delays. I would at least like to put a deposit for one so that it will be ordered. I know that RRA has had bad experiences with deposits on their .308 project. I am willing to wait for the upper if a deposit could be paid. The only thing I regret is that I could have bought an Oly and have the system I want already in my gun case. I have now tried to find someone to make me a custom .40 upper that uses the Colt/RRA system. |

We're being tight-lipped onthe LAR-40 because of all the crap we took over the roll out of the LAR-8...including on this board and even in this forum. Demands for production data (including confidential proprietary intellectual properties), time tables, product in-hand by such and such a date...gave us quite an education.
We only talk about the .40 because we've shown it (Hell, we even let the public shoot it at a SHOT Show pre-shoot) already. Our new projects now are buttoned up until they're actually ready to go. No sneak peaks (okay, a few for those who show up at the factory if something happens to be sitting out). no catalog listing, no pre-orders, no deposits, etc...That was a management decsion made during the nastiness that was occurring/surrounding the roll out of the LAR-8.
