They aren't .All three of our brakes (Military -Style. LE Comp, and Tactical Brake) are AWB compliant, which means that, during the ban, ATF certified that they were brakes, not flash hiders, for purposes of being installed on new rifles when flash hiders weren't allowed by the Federal AWB (gone, but same or similar language stil in place in several states).
