The free float tube on my Predator Pursuit was installed in such a way that the attachment point for a bipod is not perfectly aligned. Basically, the tube needs to be rotated a couple degrees so the gun will be level when supported by the bipod. I guess the installer at the factory was a little off that day. I have a YHM tool for the lock ring. To fix the problem do I simply use the lock ring tool and a strap wrench to break the tube and ring free, rotated the tube, and relock the ring down? Does RRA do anything crazy like use red loctite on the threads? I dont want to destroy the tube or lock ring. I have to slightly collapse the left leg on my bipod in order to get the gun to sit level, which is kind of generic and annoying. I'd like to fix the problem. Thanks. |

Crazy...no. Red Loctite 272...yes. Apply heat to the jam nut to get the LT tacky, and then do as you described...but be careful that you don't break the nut...they aren't identical to the YHM. If you don't want to run the risk, we can do it for you. Let me know. Steve/RRA |
