Hi Steve

I just got a 20" Varmit I had ordered about 9 weeks ago.  Beautiful rifle - best reciever fit of any AR I have ever handled, including many other RRAs.

After viewing the RRA website for options before ordering, one of the things I requested was an aluminum quad rail.

This is what is pictured on the RRA website:

But this is what came on my rifle:

I really wanted and expected the one that is shown on the RRA website.... was there some fitment reason a different one was installed, or would this have been a mistake?

The one on the site is the new RRA-made unit.  We're trying to use up inventory of the YHMs that we still have around as much as possible before using the new models.  If this is an issue for you, please contact our Sales/Customer Service Department (866-980-7625) for a return authorization (make sure to specify that you want that upper half rebuilt, not a replacement upper half) for fit reasons with your lower half.

The YHM was in use by us for several years...and was a good product.  We're bringing more and more products in-house to better meet our own demand (if we're making it, we can control production of it).

Im sure it is a good rail, but cosmetically the RRA rail is much better. And im sure the same quality if not better. Im just hoping thats the rail that is put on my rifle, seeing how it is the rail advertised on the website.

I really like that rail you are making now, but i think i kinda liked the previous model i saw beore this one a hair more, instead of thenew one having two holes ontop/below of each other. it was just one big hole. if you know which one i was talkign about?

5 weeks in, its getting hard, lmao.

But thats cool about bring stuff 'in house'. thats to cut cost, and help get stuff outt he door faster?
