I have a 20" RRA varmint rifle on order (hurry up!)... and am looking at good ammo for it...

For lack of cheap good ammo, this seems like a steal - $13 for 20 Federal Match King 80 grain .223 XM223M1 for target shooting.  It warns that you need a match throated gun for the bullet.

Is it safe to say that for the Wylde chamber on the rifle, that this ammo should be perfect?

Thanks!

i have the same upper as u. and i shoot alot so 13$ for every 20 shots is gonna put you in the poor house. so save up and start reloading

I have a 22 for plinking... I wanted a rifle that would be really accurate for shooting a few really tight groups - so I've ordered the RRA 20" varmint.

Sadly even cheap 5.56 is too expensive for blasting.  I'm thinking 10-20 shots per trip to the range for the varmint rifle.  That's why I'd rather get really good ammo - and $13 for 20 shots sure as heck beats the near $0.89/shot that the black hills SMK 69 and 77 grain stuff is going for - and this ammo should be on par with it.

(I did pick up some of the AIM prvi m193 for blasting anyhow - I just want some uber-accurate stuff too)

ya i dont take my to the range. i drive out to the feilds and blast ground squirls with it. and ill go through 100 rounds in a few hours pretty easy so my only option is reloading so i bought a turret press were i can reload a round in about 15 seconds . and for tight groups ill handload will a single stage press takes alot longer but rounds are real accurate and still only costing about .40 cents around with nosler 55grn bt's
just my 2 cents

Yeah, I have a 3 month old baby at home and wife with a LONG "honey-do" list.  I would love to get into reloading, but beyond not having the $$ and space for reloading equipment, I just don't have the time.

Any luck with Steve/RRAModerator to chime in here?  I'd like to place an order if this is "great" ammo for punching paper.

Sure.
Brass cased, American-made, factory new ammo from a reputable ammo manufacturerin a bullet weight appropriate for your twist.
For you, that would mean decent factory ammo anywhere from 55-77gr.  You can chamber 80s also, buit many 77s and every 80 that I've tried are toolong for the mag and have to be single loaded off of a single round follower or a Bob Sled. My 16" Varmint really likes 68 and 69gr match hollow points (it also like military M885 ball ammo, and shoots pretty decently with the 60gr (?) Hornady TAP loads.

I have a RRA 24" Varmint that likes Black Hills 55gr FMJ and 60gr V-Max.  My handloads shoot tighter groups than the shelf stuff, but not by much.  I tried the 69gr Black Hills match bullets and it liked those too but cost is getting up there.
