Am looking at the RRA EOP upper receiver and I am wondering if the rail will accept standard weaver rings or if they have to be the bigger picatinny style rings??

Pic isn't bigger than Weaver...it's a definition of a specific Weaver-style. The Weaver style is not determined by size but design, with the opposed 90 degree surfaces for clamping...unfortunatley, without definition, many companies did (and still do) use different specs for what cdonstituttes their Weaver bases/rings. The military standardized MS1913 as a defined. particular Weaver platform (both male and female sides of it) to standardize what they were receiving from vendors and to assure that the various products that they receive are interchangeable and usable with one another). That said, the EOP is MS1913 and should work with anything designed for it (and many standard Weaver style rings as well). Steve/RRA |
