What is a true co-witness or an absolute co-witness? My EOTech sits on top of a Dominator that obviously lowers the iron sights in the window. When I drop down and use the iron sights, the EOTech dot is right on top of the front sight. I have heard that with the Dominator you don't get true/absolute co-witness. I am unsure what that means since the EOTech dot sits on top of my iron sights. With the iron sights in the lower part of the window, when I raise up and use the EOTech alone, the iron sights don't obscure the majority of the EOTech window. Is there something to this "true/absolute co-witness that I am missing? |
