Hi all,

This is going to be hard to describe here. You know the "indent" part on your upper where the ejection port cover snaps into when you close it, is it supposed to look rough like this? Or is this showing signs of failure? I dont want this thing to develop a crack and blow my face off. Please advise. Let me know if I need better pics. Thanks for your time.

Edit: I highlighted the part in question. You might have to Zoom in to really see it.

Look in Red Circle

This is a RRA. I have shot probably close to 900 rounds through it. Maybe 400 Guat, 400 American Eagle and 100 LC XM193. I have never shot anykind of steel cased ammo.

The first picture looks like it shows pitting in the aluminum.

The indent in the red circle is there to help the detent ball cam when you close the dust cover. It looks ok to me from here.
I would be more concerned about the pitting in the flat on the upper where it mates with the lower. What happened there?

Here is an updated pic. Now can someone tell me if there is pitting in it and where like some above have mentioned? Thank you in advance.

Is there pitting?
