I personally use a dedicated 22LR conversion upper (Victor Arms V-22, predecessor to the CZ V-22). I had looked at several conversion kits for an existing upper and only chose what I did so it would have the correct bore diameter and chamber. I wanted it for mini-pins and prefered an accurate plinker that wasn't exactly like a standard LAR, rather than for use as a lower-powered trainer for simulating a match gun, which seems to be how a lot of shooters get their 22s built-up.
