Well those toys I ordered through the gun shop arrived ( 3 months later, funny how when I ordered direct from RRA, it only took 8 days ) and I started to slap things together.  One of the goodies is a Daniel Defense Quad Rail ( the one with the extra 'real-estate' in front of the FSB ).

So last night at work I was breaking-down the barrel and removed the pins ( & gastube pin ) on the front sight.  Then crash....How do I remove this bugger? I see that it is not welded, but i swear it must be molecularly bonded to the barrel.  Is there any tricks you could suggest, or is it time to give some cash to a gunsmith?

Thank-you for your eye-ball time.

Try a little heat to burn off any carbob/crud and a dead blow hammer (or at least a hard rubber mallet) from the back-side of the housing.  No molecular bonding technology involved...at least none that they've shared with me.
Have a good weekend.  If it doesn't want to come off, let me know and we can do it for you.
