I purchased a complete factory assembled Entry Tactical several months ago and love it, great rifle.  I am now a huge RRA fan.  I love it so much I want to build my next one.  So here goes my short story with a question.

I was going to purchase the Car kit from RRA (still might). But my friend, who wants to build something different now, had parts he wanted to sell.  I purchased from him a brand new R4 profile 16'' barrell (chromed lined), gas tube, handguards, six position stock, charging handle and bolt carrier group.  These are all new RRA parts and all I believe I lack is a delta ring assembly and the upper receiver.

I am not confident enough after doing some reading, that I want to tackle assembling the upper.  So If I purchased the mentioned needed pieces and sent the parts to a RRA dealer advertised on this website would they do a decent job assembling the parts.  Just wondering what your advice would be on getting these parts assembled.  I have watched and helped with lower assembly and feel o.k. with that aspect.  I would just rather have the upper done by someone experienced. (torque&headspace)  Who would you recommend?  I would purchase the upper receiver and delta ring from the dealer that would assemble it.

I couldn't let these fine RRA pieces go to waste so I thought I would have them put together.  The next rifle I build will be one of your kits so I can do the whole thing.

Thanks for any advice.

Dav,
It all depends on the dealer.  I know several who would do a fine job, and also several who don't actually do any smithing at all.  They have much greater exposure to liability if they build an upper versus just sell one.
If you can find a competent gunsmith in your area, it might be the best way to go.  No matter who you do go with, make sure that they have the proper tools (including headspace gauges) to do the job properly and safely.

Thanks,  I have not found a gunsmith in my area who speacializes in AR's. They all seem to be into Deer rifles.  We have a couple of "tactical stores" in the area but I don't believe they could put an upper together.

I am looking at sending my parts to either Adco or Eagle firearms and then purchasing the rest of the parts so they can build it.  Anyone have any experience with either?

Any suggestions?

Thanks again Dav

Either could do a fine job for you.

Anybody here have experience with either Adco or Eaglefireams?  I am not sure which one to use and was wanting some firsthand input.

Thanks in advance.
