I recently purchased an Elite Car A4, and I have shot approximately 300 rounds (Winchester white box)through the rifle and it has functioned perfectly during "live fire".

However, I ran into a issue last night manually extracting a live round.  I was shooting at my range and the range officer had to shut the range down due to storms before I could fire the chambered round.  I attempted to manually extract the round by.... removing the mag, placing the weapon on safe , pointing it in a safe direction, and pulling back on the charging handle.  The live round would not eject.  I tried this method several times with no luck.  I finally had to use a cleaning rod when I got home to push the round out of the chamber.  I loaded another round at home and was unable to manually eject that round as well.   I have cleaned the rifle (including extractor) and I'm still unable to extract.  I'm I missing something here?  Is the procedure above not the correct method to extract a live round from the chamber?  Any ideas on what's going on?  (I have no issues extracting rounds during live fire)

Thanks

Sounds like you have a bad extractor maybe? It should extract live rounds as good as it does fired ones.

Mike,
Sounds like a chamber issue, not the extractor.  Firing it has far more force than manually cycling, ans it sounds like the chamber may need to be polished.
Please call our Sales Department (309-792-5780)to get a return authorization.  We can turnit around and get it back out to you very quickly.
That said, using a cleaning rod to drive out a live round isn't a great idea...even witht he rifle otherwise disassembled, you can stil cause a misfire, in which case you have a bullet and a rod as a secondary (or multiple secondary) projectile(s).  Never try to reuse a round that has been removed in such a manner as you may have also pushed the bullet into the case, which can create an extreme pressure problem.
