Steve, I ordered my mid-length 16" stainless upper on 18 January 2006. Was told it would be about four weeks for delivery. Well it's going on 9 weeks. E-mailed Scott Miles a few times and I'm told it will be a few weeks more. I don't mind the wait, just would like a reasonably accurate delivery date. |

wow, I just ordered a stainless steel CAR upper yesterday. some of you have been waiting since December? Holy Smokes! I got a blanket email after I ordered that said... "Thank you for your online order. Your order will be processed within 24 hours. In- stock items should ship within 7-10 business days. Please allow 30-60 days for uppers, and complete rifles. Please allow 4-6 weeks for stripped/complete lowers. Please allow 1-4 weeks for 6 position collapsible stocks, two-stage trigger kits, and 4 position collapsible stocks. Barrel orders will be filled upon availability of barrels, at this time we do not have an estimated shipping time. Thank you, Sales Dept. Rock River Arms, Inc. (309) 792-5780 [email protected]" *sigh* I'm gonna hafta cancel my order, that wait is nearing comparable to suppressor paperwork in some states... |

We never give a single date, like "4 weeks", but a range, such as "4-6 weeks". Under normal circumsatnces, we are running within that time frame...but some assemblies are running longer., generally because of parts availability. Case in point would be uppers and rifles that require stainless mid bbls...we're waiting on the barrels. Once they hit the dock and we get them prepped, everything waiting for them will be built within a few hours, and shipped shortly thereafter. Steve/RRA |

No reason to be aggravated at 3 weeks. My 16" CAR and 20" A4 both arrived at week 4 and 5 respectively. I just spoke to RRA yesterday, my 24" Varmint is still 2 weeks out. No big deal. If anyone has a right to be aggrevated it's RRA, at those of us that call every 3 days. However, they are friendly and courteous every time we call. We should all just go listen to some Barbara Streisand music and chill. |

Our website give approximate ship times if you go into the assembly you're looking for. Right now it is rare for any upper, especially chrome-lined, to go out in less than 4 weeks. And Bad350...for everyones' sake, please don't encourage people to listen to BS (appropriate initials anyway)...the next thing you know, they'll be going to Vegas to see Barry Manilowm when SHOT is back there in '08. | I'm not mad at RRA or anything, its just hard on a college student to spend that much and then have to wait. I know they're not slacking around or anything, I just wasn't told by Pete that there was a wait until I read on the board here that there was and asked him about it. He said oh yeah, there is a wait but should be under 4 weeks. That was a surprise to me. I just wish I'd known beforehand. |
Ok then, how about some John Denver. |

Well...... I got online and changed the shipping so that I could pick it up today. They called me back and said that I could come and get it after 6, when the truck driver got back. I got there at 6:10 and waited until 7:00 but they NEVER found my package. They said that it wasn't there and to come back tomorrow. I said I will be here at 8:00am when you open and I hope my package is waiting on me!! I'm really not an impatient person, its just been rough waiting (as this is the last piece of the gun to come in) and then for them to get it and then not be able to find it... They had all of the other packages from the truck that brought it back but not mine!! ...so close...so close... UPDATE: Got there early this morning as promised and after 30 more minutes of BS I told here that no I would not try again later tonight and that I was not leaving the room until I had my package in hand so she had better go get it or find someone to. After that my upper magically appeared! After it was all said and done I'm just thrilled to have it. Finish and fit is great. I just finished putting the MI 20 rail on it and mounted my pentagon X3 light. Pics will coome as soon as I can get the BUIS in!!! Thanks again Steve!! |

I placed an order for a stripped lower through a local retailer about 8 weeks ago, and though I'm a bit anxious to get it, I understand the wait. My build was planned to be one that took several months to accomplish, working section by section, so I've gotten to the point of ordering things that are likely to take a while in advance, like the stripped upper and the barrel. Amazingly, I got the upper just 4 days after I ordered it. But, I don't think they really give an estimated shipping time on barrels, so if you were told one, you were probably being mislead. Here's a direct quote that I've gotten from every order I've placed with RRA. My 6 position stock only took 4-5 days, and my trigger kit was about the same. I've been pretty impressed by their delivery times, usually faster than what they have told me. The only thing that has taken longer is the lower, which I partially blame on the local retailer. And remember, they state a time wait of 30-60 days for complete rifles and uppers, but no estimate of shipping on barrels. Well, I just assume that complete rifles and uppers have barrels, so therefore, they must not have an accurate shipping estimate either. EDIT - It actually gives me a stronger sense that I'm getting a quality product if they are unable to keep up with the demand that is being placed on them. Blackboot. |
