| Just got a RRA Tac Entry. It's supposed to have the Chromed Lined barrel. How can I tell if it has it? I see no markings. Is the bore more shinny than a non chromed barrel? |

Several ways come to mind: 1. Verify configuration on the check list oon the end of the white RRA box 2. Check for chrome-wash out at the muzzle (gray/silver "haze") 3. Check the area of the bbl immediately over the chamber...if new, it will have a bbl number that corresponds with one of our chrome-lined numbers, or if older, it should have a three number/letter code, of which the third character shouls be a "C"..N9C which is NATO chamber, 1:9 teist, and chrome lined. Steve, The barrel is stamped with the number "204" It's a brand new barrel however. The box on the "Options" line has a hand written "CL" which I assume must mean chrome Lined? In looking at the crown of the muzzel it does have a very thin grey/silver line around the tip of the crown. Kind of curious if you can confirm that it is chrome lined??? Jay |
Here's a picture of the muzzle of a chrome-lined RRA Entry Tactical: The red arrow points to the silvery-gray chrome-wash that Steve mentioned. By the way, this rifle was purchased during the ban, so the "flash hider" is actually RRA's press-on fake flash hider. I'm not sure if RRA still sells rifles configured with this fake flash hider for perma-ban states. |
