It's less or the same than the Tinck Arms Perun x16, ARAK 21, LWRC, POF, HK 416 & Clones. Complete it's a little less or the same than a Dissent, BREN 2, XCR, DRD Aptus, PWS URX, ZF-56, The Above uppers as complete guns. I own an FM-15 it's not as nice as a Gen 2 BRN-180. The Jakl is great but it's heavier and the fit and finish are not the same. The Brigade Makasi is less and probably as good and the tinck arms perun x16 is an under rated option. |

Bren 2 rifles are more than $1500. The cheapest new one listed on GB is $1726 + 3%cc fee + transfer fee + tax. There are some BREN 2 pistols for around 1600 plus fees. If you know of where I can get a new one for $1500 please send me a link so I can add a second one to my collection. And the lower isn't stripped. It comes with the ambi bolt release, mag release and take down pins. It needs a trigger and safety to be completed. Other "ambi" are lowers are priced similarly. |

I didn't mean to come off like a jerk. (I have been working on it) The point I'm trying to make is that the Gen 3 BRN 180 is in line and in the upper middle price point with other non AR piston rifles. Of course if you were buying your first rifle or have other financial commitments it is not an ideal choice. If your a collector or someone with disposable income it's a neat option to occupy your time with and it might turn out to be a viable "work" pistol/rifle. |

My upper arrived today! I also ordered the ambi BRN M lower, BCM Mod 0 grip, Larue trigger, radian safety and Midwest Industries Folding Arm Brace. I'm into this build for $1900 before tax and shipping. These are not the same gun as the Gen 2. The Gen 3 is almost completely different. There is almost zero parts interchangeability. Some dimensions are the same, the bolt and firing pin and that may be it. |

I listed out about 30 or so different platforms. If you need piston, folding and short the XCR, Rattler, Scar and Perun X16 fit the bill. Doubt it, they've been out of stock on uppers and most spare parts for a while I emailed PWS directly about getting some and I never got a response either Thankfully I have a few uppers for spares I gunsmif'd one into what I always wanted them to release
