I had made the decision to purchase this optic and have been checking back to see its stock status but now I do not see it on the website. Is something changing with this particular reticle option or is it being discontinued?

I came here looking for info on this scope, I was just about to buy it.
Should I hold off for the new design |
|
The new design may be some time in coming. What caliber are you shooting, what application? Maybe we have something else that will fit your needs nicely.

I was buying this for a 16" 6.5 Grendel, precision and medium to long range. View Quote We do the best we can to provide class leading value for your dollar, but "long range precision" and "inexpensive scope" are still fairly mutually exclusive terms. To meet the potential of that 6.5, I have to recommend our Platinum 6-30x56 Front Focal with the DEKA MIL reticle. Yes, it's much more expensive than the Chinese made optics, but it is a tremendous value, comparing well with scopes that cost $1000 more. Platinum 6-30X56 DEKA MIL Failed To Load Title |

A few dealers still have R-Grids in stock. Shoot me a email and I will direct you to one

Damn, I just ordered one of these through Amazon for my 20" DMR-profile (Odin Works) barreled 6.5 Grendel. What's getting updated on the reticle? Thanks! |

I came here to post this exact question. I was like what happenend to the R Grid? Guess I'll wait a little longer

No ETA at this time, it's in development, which is a lot of work and doesn't lend itself well to predictable time frames.

Any updates on the new reticle and the scope in bound? Thanks!
|
|
Absolutely nothing to report on this one right now guys. Sorry. At least you know I'm not leading you on.

Looking very forward to the redesign on the 4-14 RGRID! Also wanted to give a shout out and thanks to all the crew at PA for being so responsive to all the inquires. You guys rock!!

This was one of my favorite reticles. I hope you guys aren't changing it too much.
Is it still a mil/mil? |

Last time frame update was in July.
Any news on this? I am looking at a used one, but would like to know the significance of the reticle upgrade and if these will be available any time soon? I'd rather buy new/improved |
|
No update anytime soon. In my own head I'm hoping we will have one to show of at SHOT Show next year, but that's just a wish on my part right now, a goal with nothing tangible to back it up.

This wouldn't happen to be the new R-Grid would it?

The update is much appreciated! I'm still lookin' forward to the redesign. Merry Christmas to all!

Quoted: I got to look through the updated prototype and I really like the reticle! It's a 4x14x44 FFP scope but I think we are planning on putting the reticle into other scopes as well. Hopefully we can tease it at SHOT Show in a couple of months and get it on shelves pretty quickly afterwards. View Quote |

I bought a used one. I really dig the ability for holds, hopefully the new version comes with the chevron but no horseshoe.
I'd definitely be down for one, heck at the price point probably 2 |

What's the latest on the R-grid reticle? I didn't see anything on the website.
|
|
Well, "late June early July" has turned into mid October now, hasn't it? So I guess things didn't all go well. We still have R-Grid 2B listed as coming in for both the 4-14x44 and the new 3-18x50 scope bodies, but I don't have a firm ETA at all anymore. There have been significant (obviously) delays beyond our ability to control.

|
|
No update. I think several of the new releases have been delayed because we are having the factories build more stock of existing products instead. We are having difficulty keeping our current products in stock so we need them to replenish us first before moving on to the new releases.
I'm personally impatient for the 3-18x50 additional reticles, including R-Grid 2B. |
