Dimitri,

I'm a long time lurker wanting to get into 3 gun. I hear a lot obout Lepold scopes, but really like what I see at P.A. Could someone recommend a good P.A. Scope for me to start competing in 3 gun?

Thank you!

I'd be willing to bet he recommends the 1-6x

Unfortunately shows out of stock. Hopefully he may know when they are expected in...

Thank you for the feed back

The 1-4x is also a really great scope.

Thank you! As I'm not a glass guy, red dot primarily. The 4 and 6 are the power of the lens correct?

Correct  - the scopes we have both mentioned are variable power scopes. They can be used at 1x similar to how a red dot is used, and you can go up to 4x or 6x depending on the scope you choose.

I use both the 1-4 (22lr rimfire matches) and the 1-6 ACSS in centerfire carbine matches. Stages are set up similar to a 3-gun rifle stage. Both work great. The PA scopes are heavier than other more expensive 1-? scopes so you won't be the "highest speed, lowest drag" guy out there but it works fine. If you are 3 gunning for a hobby and a good time, the PA scopes are a good affordable way to go.

ATM..

Thank you for the input. This is great information, how clear is the glass? Not being picky, just starting to wear cheaters to see.

Thanks

The 1-6x is great, very clear and accurate.

My only issue is that its not first focal plane, but I knew that before I bought it so its not anything to complain about, but I'd upgrade to a FFP in a heartbeat.

They are also hard to get...they sell out really fast.

Hard to capture clarity with a camera, but they're very clear

I would recommend either the 1-6 that's sold out or the 2.5X in stock now. Video below
