Just received my MD-06L Micro Dot with your Gen 2 QD Lever mount. I am trying to mount it on a JD Machine upper receiver.
Unfortunately, by the time it is tight enough to not move on the rail, the lever won't close enough to latch. Any fix for this problem? I removed the mount from the sight before the blue Loctite set just in case. Thanks in advance. I tried to call, but you're probably closed for the holiday weekend. Update: Tried it on another JD, a YHM, and a Samson Evo rail. All were the same. Unfortunately I purchased it thru AIM. Looks like I'll be contacting them. |

I read a post earlier that another member here found why his QD mount lever wouldn't close.
He found the roll pin that holds the lever on, was not inserted all the way thru both sides of the lever, letting the lever twist and not latch properly. I checked the mount I have, and here are the photos. You can see the roll pin was too short, not driven in all the way, and mushroomed. PA already has another on the way or I would try to make repairs on this one. If you're having problems with one of these mounts, it's something to check.  " />

Got the replacement today.
It doesn't work either. 
Whats the next step? Any way to make this mount work? I see others are having the same problem. I would really like to try out the new Micro Dot. eta: Nevermind. emailed Jack S. I'll return the one you just sent and look for a mount elsewhere. I really don't want the thumb screw mount. If I find a way to make the one from AIM work, I'll let you know. |

We have plenty of other mount options and I will give you the bundle price plus free shipping on any other mount. The American Defense is top notch. The bundle price is $69 less what you paid for the one you have. That said don;t ship it yet. Please give me a call. Other than the roll pin issue it should work fine when properly adjusted. I want to figure it out even if you go with a different mount. |

I'll ship the replacement mount back to you tomorrow. I was going to use this sight and mount on a new 300 Blk pistol build. I'm rethinking that now and will use this on a dedicated .22. I got it to tighten up fairly well by replacing the lever pin with a longer one, and reshaping the rail below the lever so that it will stay square to the mount when tight. It appeared that the movable rail would cock at an angle, and only the top half of the lever was contacting it. The lever would then be at enough of an angle to prevent it from latching. |
