I placed an order for a few "on sale" items several weeks ago. Normally orders shipped USPS from Primary Arms take about 3 days to get from Texas to my house in California. I was sent the tracking number that night when it was shipped out.
After waiting the 9 days USPS said I should have the package, I contacted Primary Arms. The tracking number showed the package leaving Dallas Texas, but it disappeared after that. The response I was given was, "The ordered shipped, here is your tracking number". I wait a few more days, because I figured the Post Office was busy due to the holidays. Nope, still nothing from the tracking number. I sent Primary Arms another inquiry about my order. I was told on this second inquiry to contact my local Post Office about the package? So I contacted my local Post Master. They couldn't tell me anything that I already didn't know, and they have not seen the package. So fast forward another few weeks: The package is now showing up after leaving Dallas on 11/30. It is being passed around several East Coast cities? I live on the West Coast in California. Edited to add: Order arrived 12/22/12. Everything in great shape. |

Your most recent inquiry was sent yesterday and needless to say things are busier than normal and it looks like Brett responded around 3PM today. I am glad you emailed me so we can try and come up with a solution to get these to you by Christmas and have already sent you a email.
The Post Office is in total meltdown. Many many packages were delayed so not much we could say except that it is late and be patient, but yours is in USPS hell. The tracking is still being updated so it is not lost just taking a tour of the Country. We will still offer USPS but have changed the web site to default to UPS. Sorry this has been such a hassle Marshall |

This is why I placed my order tonight with UPS. I ordered last month.
His point is he used UPS not USPS. That is why in my email I suggested a solution using UPS 3 day to get it there by Christmas. You ordered last month and we shipped quickly as usual. Ordered around 1AM on 11/29 and we printed the shipping label at 8AM 11/29. Tracking shows it received by the post office on 11/29. While the majority of Post Office packages are getting delivered as usually we are seeing far more issues that ever. We had numerous calls and emails after Thanksgiving about delays and there was nothing to say except that they have been experiencing delays. Yours is the worst case so far. You are not happy becasue you don't have your package. I am not happy becasue we might loose a good customer. The Post Office sucks!! Please call me tomorrow and let's get this resolved. Marshall EDIT TO ADD: With UPS we can redirect a package and in most cases if there is a issue talk to someone that will try and help. |

Marshall & the folks at Primary Arms are GOOD PEOPLE ... PERIOD!
If he says it is outbound, it is outbound. I worked there briefly, but I was very impressed with the operation and especially the commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. If the item goes missing with the carrier, I wouldn't worry that you might be left high and dry. Texans are good to their word... Marshall & the staff at Primary Arms are definitely Good to their word too! |

Marshall,
Thanks for the prompt response. Brett did answer my email shortly after I posted here. I already mentioned in private email, part of the issue I had with a new order, and it was answered. I had hoped to have this option back when I contacted Primary Arms back on 12/8. The problem I have with making a new order the original order contained a clearance item that is no longer instock. |

UPS' tracking system is among the best. The post office.... not so good, but good enough for government work.

I sent a package to my family 10 days ago by USPS and the tracking info doesn't even show it leaving the local sort facility yet.
USPS is doing a good job of working themselves out of a job. If it went out USPS, good luck. On the bright side christmas will last longer as your package drifts in... eventually.
