I have a PA M3 style red dot (single reticle) and am looking to get either the 3X or 6X PA magnifier. What is the minimum distance that each magnifier can provide a focused picture? It seems to make more sense to get the 6X as it is only $30 more for twice the magnification of the 3X. Also, will the flip-to-side std. height mount line up evenly with my PA red dot?

The standard height flip will work. We are out but have more on the way. You normally use a red dot magnifier at 250-300 yards+ so I have not tested the minimum range. I have shot them all at 50 yards. I can't imagine you would go less than that. Just use the red dot alone.

The field of view is a bit smaller with the 6X.

I have the m3 also with high cant mount, will the PA magnifier standard flip to side line up with the red dot? Just trying to clarify that is what you meant. Thanks marsh

That is correct.
