I know there is a wealth of comparisons on the site and on these forums but I still can't decide which is right for me. I'd like to see a comparison of the 4MOA M3 clone vs the 2MOA M4 clone if anyone has a pic. Thats one of my main deciding factors.

I want to have my red dot, magnifier (waiting til the flip to side mount comes out to buy it though) and troy rear BUIS on the flat top so I know the cant mount is needed, it's my understanding that the cant mount is ONLY available for the M3 clone. Is this correct? I have a DD omega 9 which is free floating and makes the upper rail much longer, is it ok to mount the optic on the rail slightly and not worry about getting the cant mount? I know that the point of free floating a barrel is to add accessories without affecting accuracy, but is there an unwritten rule about optics on the rails? I've read some people saying that it's actually better to mount your optic further forward so i'm kind of counting on that to be true.

I like the looks of the m3 better but it seems as though the m4 has more features, a 2MOA dot and better battery life so it's kind of a no brainer if it works out for me.

Thanks for everything, this is my very first AR and I'm excited to be a customer of Primary Arms!

OP,

Have you considered the PA 2MOA Multi reticle red dot? I have 2 of these complete with the 5x magnifier. They both work great on their respective guns. Regardless of how you decide . . . Enjoy!
