I just purchased a PA M3 red dot sight and so far I am really happy with it. It arrived at my door two (working) days after ordering it, even after I screwed up the shipping and they had to fix it for me. The sight looks great and I have played with the brightness settings a bit while holding it in hand. I can't wait to get this thing out to the range. A big +1 goes out to Primary Arms from me. I have a couple of quick questions about getting the sight into the mount though and I would rather ask here than guess and get it wrong.

Place rifle on flat surface and use small level to align top of sight
to a "known, flat, level surface" on rifle. Tighten, but don't strip screw-head. You need to develop a "feel" for when screw has bottomed. Again, don't strip-out the top of the screw-head (or snap the screw off below the head) Use a small, tight-fitting screwdriver, whose blade is the widest and thickest that you can fit into screw. (You most likely will have an "allen-head" screw, anyhow) Make sure thread are clean and dry (oil, grease free) Check before, during and after every use to be sure they aren't loosening-up. Good luck! |

Sounds like we screwed up and did not out the instructions in the order.
You want it level but it is not as critical as a scope. The main thing on the mount screws is tighten them evenly using the included wrench. A little blue Loctite on the cross bolt nut does not hurt. Tighten it hand tight then another 1/4 turn with a wrench. |
