| I don't see the 4x compact scope on pa web site. Are the 4x compacts discontinued? or just waiting to get some in |
| i know we are all waiting for the compact 4x, but when he says it will be a while..... that usually means not this year... Im sure when it does come out it will sell out in a matter of days! Dealing with those guys overseas is a PITA. I went through the same thing when I has having turbo manifolds cast for Hondas&Acura back in 2001. Im sure it has not changed much in the way of getting a final product. But we are all holding out breath and turning purple over this 2nd gen 4x....... I just hope you get enough of them.... This one may warrent a pre order....? |

I think we made a lot of progress but only time will tell. Marshall Edit to add: I am actually causing a delay right now to refine the reticle. We want this to be more versatile than the previous version. |

My 4x wish list for what it's worth: 1) No small rails, or on the top only (more streamlined) 2) Donut or horseshoe reticle option No rails but a optional Fastfire style red dot. I think there would be a HUGE amount of interest in a FastFire-style dot even on its own. :) |

A couple suggestions, if it's not too late to make them.
The glass needs to be brighter. Even if it upped the price by about $50, it would be worth it to put a better quality, brighter glass in it. This IMO is the most important upgrade. I'm sure you've got the reticle under control. It was too thin, and illumination was needed in light where it shouldn't have been needed. The magnification didn't seem like a true 4x when compared with some other optics. Maybe 3.5. A little more magnification would be nice (IMO). |

Regarding the brightness of the glass; I'll emphatically second this suggestion. This would be my only complaint with the two 4x scopes that I recently purchased. The glass is most certainly not bright. This is not much of an issue because both scopes now reside on .22's - they're my fun guns. A slightly darker image doesn't matter too much for that application. I will say that the edge-to-edge focus is very consistent and sharp. I love the reticules. I can shoot some very small groups with such fine crosshairs. Love 'em. Magnification seems good as well - acceptable. That said, it's still one hell of an optic for $109.00. |

Primary Arms 4X
My Review: The Fantastic: Customer Service. Reticle is simply awesome. The fine T reticle is sharp as a tac and stays just as sharp when illuminated. The Good: Sharp focus edge to edge (good ring too). Very compact. Solid brightness adjust but not real useful on settings under 9. No perceivable parallax that I could detect. Built in mount/riser was perfect height for my Sig522. (A bit low for me on AR). The less than good: Finish on the scope body was kinda cast lumpy looking. Suggestions for Gen2 - See Burris AR-332 scope body and mount - Drop the rails. Keep PA reticle... everyone who sees it says "This is great" and "Where did you get it? I do like the skinny reticle for the center, but I would like to see a heavier line on the outside. ===––-|––-=== ...........| ...........|| |

Also waiting for them to get back in stock. I'm guessing you guys took the optic's page off your site? Why not leave it there with an "out of stock" notice? I was hoping read some detail on all the features... We took it off because it is discontinued. The replacement will be way different and much improved. We are still working out the details. |

I know I quoted you before, but I wanted to point something else out... I don't thing the fine reticle is bad at all. I think the dark glass is what made it hard to see and a lot of people just didn't catch on to that. It was very easy to use the bullet drop, and they seemed to be right on the money. |
