[ARCHIVED THREAD] - ACOG style ETA... (Page 1 of 4)

Its the end of the month, LOL. Just curious if you had any pics yet? New ETA, I'm going to be down for one or two when they get here.

Just to be clear it is a Acog style not a replica. A replica implies counterfiet which I don't deal in. These will be a fixed 4X with a T reticle and the general shape of a Acog designed to giver you a wide field of view. I will ask for a update later this week. I am pushing them on the flip to side magnifier mount right now. I have told them that is the highest priority.

Any idea on an ETA for the flip magnifier mount, If you have answered this recently I appologize I haven't been able to keep up with the boards much in the last month. The last word was shipping mid August. That could mean the end of the month before they arrive and clear customs. . |

I sure hope these come in soon...I'm getting real antsy. Don't make me go to the darkside! We are close. The order is ready to ship. A production usit is being sent via Fedex this week. Once I verify it is what I ordered I wire money and they ship. Still has to clear customer on both ends so it could be a 7-14 more days. Once the unit gets here I will post photos. |

I received the production unit. This is the first unit I had them build without getting a sample along the way. The glass is fantastic but the mount it is a little lower than I wanted and the T- reticle is very fine. Should make for a very accurate and very compact scope. I will get some pics up tomorrow. I did not order than many so when they get here next week I will offer them only through this thread at a intro price to get your feedback.

| It looks like the reticle in the Acog TA-01NSN without the heavy bars to each side. I have one and can use it up close for quick shots by putting the object I want to hit in the middle of the three heavy bars. You can probably do that with this one with the one heavy bar, but it would be slower. Of course you can mount a micro dot on top or the side and use it instead. I would like to compare this scope to my Acog and will do that when I get mine. I have two identical carbines I can do it with, so it should be a decent comparison. |

That's an Academy. Its next to Marshall's warehouse.... And no it was not mounted. LOL I was worried that the very fine reticle would not show up against dark backgrounds but that is not the case. The glass is very bright and the reticle show clearly even against trees. The height works great with a Micro Dot on top. I will get some more pics this weekend. |

How do you think this would hold up to 30cal. recoil? I am looking for something exactly like this in a 4x so I am in for one. Will there be a illuminated reticle version? 30 cal shouldn't be a issue at all, it is built like a tank. The reticle is illuminated. It is not daytime red dot illumination but very effective in low light situations. |

What I hoped it looked like. http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad242/oliver28732/TA31F-G.jpg What I thought it would look like: http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad242/oliver28732/Trophy.jpg What it looks like: http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad242/oliver28732/ACstyle.jpg Looks more like the Burris AR 332 prism site to me. Not saying it's a bad thing but doens't look like an ACOG IMO. http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad242/oliver28732/ar_332.jpg No slam at all on Marshall. His service and products are GREAT, just a bit disappointed. I shouldn't have posted the pic of the Bushnell but in the second post in this thread I made it clear that this was a "Acog style" , meaning fixed magnification and wide field of view. In that respect is delivers. The platform has a lot of potential for 2.5X and 5X versions down the road. Also differnt reticles. I guess being compared to the Burris is not a bad thing as it will sell for almost 1/3 of the price. LOL Maybe the new 1-4X that will arrive at the same time will be a good option. I should have photos of it in a day or two. |

Guess those who beg for information cannot complain later when it's 100% the same as what was envisioned. Thanks and will be looking forward to ordering one. |

Any pictures of the new 1-4x? Any updates on when the other scope is going to arrive? Do you need a person to test the one you have? |

Your going to get all of my money... One of these and some micro dots and I'll be set...

Any pictures of the new 1-4x? Any updates on when the other scope is going to arrive? Do you need a person to test the one you have? It is looking like next week on both. Here is the 1-4X. The only problem is the logo is too far forward. When you pu the included flip caps on it covers part of the logo.
The dot in the center of the reticle is illuminated. Iti is not red dot daytime illumination. Est price $109 http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb190/marsh2001/Web%20photos/1-4X.jpg http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb190/marsh2001/Web%20photos/4Xreticle.jpg |
