I would think MLOK would be the default with a pic top rail? Or is it some kind of optional cover? But yes some clarification would be good. |
Now a real killer, when he picked up the ZF1, would have immediately asked about the little red button on the bottom of the gun.

Those might not look removable if you didn't see the bottom where the bolts would be, especially if they've made them even slimmer in newer versions. I guess it's possible they decided to go full rail, but that would seem to be a step backwards and I'm not sure what the benefit would be for doing so. @PalmettoStateArmory Josiah, can you answer this question for us? 2 questions, since I know more info has come out since the thread began. Does the barrel reciprocate? I'm wondering what sort of suppressor interface will be needed. Basically, does it need a booster or can we use a fixed QD mount for a 5.56mm k-can (so I can swap my k-can between this and ARs)? Can you share the exact operating mechanism yet? Is it simple blowback, delayed blowback, a short-stroke recoil locked-breech, etc.? |

Was there any info on what rifling twist the barrel will have? Wanted to post a consideration to make if possible, about subsonic bullet weights being successfully stabilized in the final production. Weights ranging 55-62gr. Though less common right now, my thoughts are that there is significant utility in subsonic 5.7x28mm. Worthwhile enough to select an appropriate twist rate to stabilize heaver than standard 5.7, while still within the margin l that it reliably does with supersonic ammo... 1:9? 1:8? 1:7 even? The correct twist, or even if it's a realistic consideration at all to accomodate both may be left to those smarter than I, and thank you ETA @palmettostatearmory However, If you skip to 6:25, he shows round holes on target with 62gr. Fiocchi with all of his test guns. The twist rate of the CMMG MK57 he refers to is assumed as 1:9 twist  5.7x28mm, 62gr FMJ, Fiocchi Range Dynamics (57sub62) |
