Hi everyone, I'm contemplating picking up a complete blem PSA lower. I was curious if anyone has some examples of the sorts of blemishes to expect. Now I know that buying a blem, you should expect anything, but I'm trying to figure out the probability that I'll get a lower that has a big scratch on the side of it vs a lower with a little scuff in a place that will be covered up anyway. |

I bought three from them in the past, and so far I can't really find anything wrong with them. Another thing to think about, they're going to blemish either way when you take it out to shoot. I never had any fitting or function issues. You should be fine, for the price you can't lose. |

Every blem I have bought from PSA has been perfect. Many times consecutive serial numbers when buying blem lowers. |

I've bought three blem lowers and haven't been able to locate a blem on any of them, including the third one I just received a few days ago (now impatiently waiting for a upper I bought). I haven't disassembled them so can't comment on internal machniing blemishes, but the first two have functioned well. And those first two lowers have matched the uppers I've purchased, so the anodizing hue hasn't been a blemish issue either.
The real "problem" is finding the right lower when you want/need it, as they're constantly changing the furniture(MilSpec, Blackhawk, Magpul) and/or triggers (MilSpec, EPT, Defender) in what seems to be a totally willy-nilly fashion. And I've noticed recently some complete lowers listed in their Daily Deals subsection for days that never show up when browsing within the lower section. So check both subsections to make sure you get a proper overview of what's actually available (that's an IT problem). So their products aren't the issue(blem or first run), but their back office processes (inventory control, shipping times and IT) sure could use vast improvement. I think those issues make some folks hesitant. |
