I was gifted a psa upper for Christmas of 2014 that completed my first and only AR(so far). This may sound like rifle neglect but I have not fired a single round through it due to multiple address changes and a job change and just general shortage of funds. I do love the rifle and can not wait to put some rounds through it. I did notice a couple months back that the front sight post has the slightest wiggle to it. Anyone know if PSA can fix this at their store or has anyone else had the same problem?  I am in the Charlotte area so I am about a 90 minute drive from the northern most location. Part of my motivation also to wanting to go to the store is to shop around while there for some possible accessories as well. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Anyone else have this problem with PSA uppers or is it just me?

Front post should definitely not wiggle.  If that's not secure, I'd imagine you could have some gas problems with the gas tube not sealing properly... You'd end up short-stroking with feed jams or possibly even magazine-fed single shot mode.

There should be a taper pin holding it in - Does it look like it's in all the way?

(PSA store should be able to fix that in a short amount of time unless something's actually broken.)

There is a spring and a detent cup under the front sight post.  The sight may wiggle, but the remainder of the parts should keep it in a static position.

Do you mean the post or the entire front sight assembly?  Have you had the pins out? Can you post a picture?

if you're talking about the post itself it's normal for it to wiggle a bit.
