This was the same deal they had about a week back. They must have had just a few left over to unload, thus the ULTRA quick sell out. The FN barreled ones lasted a few days. I'm still holding out for a CL or Melonite version (rather than phosphate). I dont think psa offers a FN barrelled PTAC. |

There was a different looking description on something that had FN barrel in the title....not sure.... I am still holding out for a cheap .300 10 inch or so in melonite . |

No, I was referring to when they had the Ptac phosphate, and then right after, offered a PSA middy (FN barrel). The Ptac sold out immediately, but the PSA premium (was only $100 more) took days to sell out. IMHO, CL is worth the extra $100, but I'd love to see a Ptac middy with MELONITE that cuts the difference, price wise, between those two. ETA: I just can't get myself to buy a non CL/melonite barrel. It's just not worth the extra maintenance to me. |

That is the thing. If PTAC has a good line on melonite then PSA needs to run with it. The barrels they offer with the melonite "treatment" applied are a Great deal. granted i agree. If they can offer melonite for same price as the non lined, folks will take melonite every time... I think PSA would do better selling barrels again, because of the ptac line. it makes total uppers so cheap, folks would perhaps be more apt to spend money on a chf barrel alone , for the same price as a full ptac upper, cause they can peice it together better? Perhaps? its just a thought. |
