Hello,
I recently purchased one of your complete uppers at a gunshow and my question is about the barrel. The barrel has no markings on it that I can find anywhere on it, it is chrome lined, who made this barrel ? The receiver is marked palmetto with crossed cannons if this helps. Bryan |
| Do you know for sure it is a PSA complete upper and not just a home build using one of their receivers? The barrel should be marked if it came from PSA. Can you provide any other info about it like gas length and configuration? Does it have a front sight post, rail, etc. Post a pic if you can. |

With that being said I think I must have been bamboozled. There are no markings whatsoever. I am starting to think that someone bought a second upper (as there is a small knick in the metal) and assembled it themselves. Everything I have bought from Palmetto has looked great, so next time I buy an upper, it will be straight from Palmetto.

Byran, All of our barrels should be rollmarked. Check under the handguards, some are marked there. Unfortunately, there are a lot of home gunsmiths cobbling together components and selling them at shows as ours. |

I concur with you fellas to. I didn't realize what I was getting into until it was to late, my son I really like the palmetto product line of ar rifle components. We let seeing a palmetto upper overwhelm use that we had to nab it up, we will stick to ordering off the palmetto website from now on !
Thanks, Bryan |

The guy originally wanted $375 but I talked him down to $325. He claimed it was chrome lined (which it appears to be) and said that the twist was 1 in 7, which is what I prefer. Though there are no markings, the carrier is full auto and appears to be PSA as it had the black O-ring like one listed on PSA says it has. I suppose I could find out what the twist is if I took the time to do some measuring. Obviously the upper is PSA. Hopefully the pictures go to show that there are literally no markings on this barrel. Though the pictures in the album look repetitive, I took pictures of the barrel front top, bottom, left side, and right side views to give a 360 degree field of view. I disassembled the upper as shown to make sure there werent any hidden markings that I was missing. It puzzles me.
