There was a lower identification thread that was very well received. how about a barrel thread to assist with barrel rollmark IDs? This came to me after reading a thread about PSA shipping the wrong barrels to a few folks. Someone wanna take the reins on this?

Great Idea Al. I may try to do one, but im not near as versed in their multiple different barrels as i am on the lowers. Most of my information on the barrels will be coming from their web page.. and there are a ton more barrels than there were lowers.

Another one on the BCGs would help.  At this point, I think that I would only get the premium or nickle boron versions.

All PSA branded barrels should have the specs in the rollmark.

The only exception to this is the FN rollmarked barrels.  The FN rollmark is generic with just a logo, chamber twist and sometimes an MP stamp.  The FN rollmarked barrels should all be hammerforged.  However early on we had about 100 20" FN marked barrels that were button broached.

Any further differences in the barrel types and compositions are subtle and would require a small novel to describe...

But if you don't post the specs, none of the spec monkeys will be able to spout numbers and random nomenclature to their COMICON buddies while "kitting up" for their next high-speed deployment on some first person shooter video game. You're really cramping their ability to sound tacticool around all of their buddies!

Although, with this information, you may be able to determine the colour of the Boathouse in Hereford.

Oh really?  Do you owe me two new barrels then?

Mr. JoeJeeps,

They are MP tested from the factory, unfortunately the last batch that we received are not roll marked as MP tested, but I would like to ensure you that they actually are.  Unfortunately the only way to prove that they are at this point is to forward you the spec sheet of our barrels, but that is proprietary information that I am not allowed to give out.  I am sorry for the answer since I am sure it is frustrating.  But it is indeed MP tested.

Thank you for your business,

Hello,

I recently received these two uppers and they look good.  One concern - the description on your website clearly states these barrels are MP tested however I see no proof mark on the actual barrels.  Could you please verify that these were MP tested?
