I purchased a mid length PSA rifle last fall.. I want to replace the front sight,, and I know this requires removal of the flash hider... I don't think a mid length would be pinned,, but I would like to know this before I start trying to remove this thing..

So,, I came here for the collection of knowledge...  Any idea guys?

Unlikely that its pinned... Just try unscrewing it (with the tools) and if it doesn't come off then ask if its pinned. But I highly doubt it is.

Edit: just bc its a mid length doesn't mean it's not shorter than 16", I just don't recall PSA selling a sub 16" mid length. Could be wrong though

They had 14.7" pinned uppers.

Post pics of the bottom of your flashhider.

And of your upper.

I am almost certain that it's a 16 inch barrel(minus the flash hider),,, that is why I felt kinda dumb asking..

I thought I'd ask before ganking on it with a wrench..

break out the tape measure....
if 'well' over 16, barrel vice and wrench...

if 'just' over 16, another process...

It's almost 18 inches...

If it was less and it was pinned,,, it wouldn't be disturbed... It'd be staying original!
