On sale. $207 shipped.

Bought one.  Don't need it yet. Not sure what I'm building with the two lowers I just bought from PSA.  But at least I'll have plenty of parts sitting around.

No, it doesn't appear to be the same bcg as the Premium one listed for $189 but the one that comes with this is still pretty solid.

Ordered one too, Break it down and I see it as $40.00 for the stock kit, $50.00 for lower parts, and $110.00 for M16 bolt carrier group. Just what I needed to finish my Palmetto lower. Just hope they ship a little quicker.

I believe it's the BCG they list as M-16 MPI, if you read the specs they show for each it appears that they're practically identical.

i hope that this  is a sign of the bcg's getting cheaper.

I just picked up this great deal... even though I really don't need it.
I was wondering if the BCG is the sku #8784.   I already have 2 of 8784 bcgs.
Thanks

I ordered the deal also,   then the 6.8SPC upper w/5 mags for $399.  Have a 6.8 bolt at the house $65  and lower $100, DD rear sight $65

Total into a nice little carbine when it all arrives.   $850ish   not to shabby

There are a couple of 5.56 kits that are a helluva deal also

Noticed a few threads with people who heehaw about BCG's..   Pics look fine to me.   Whatever happened to the good ole days of buy something and try it before bitching about it?

Well, my kit and bcg arrived on Friday afternoon.  The bcg is GTG.  Chrome lining, gas key and fastener staking all look great.  I tried it out today and everything went very smoothly.

The "premium" bcg I ordered the day before is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.  I'll update tomorrow night to let ya'll know if there is any difference.

Thanks PSA!  If your prices weren't so damn good I wouldn't be assembling parts for the second one before my first build was complete.

I received the "premium" bcg & charging handle today.  It's definitely a different bcg than the M16 one that came with the LBK.  Not to imply that it's a better group, just that they are different.  The finishes seem to be a little different (maybe just applied differently) and of course the "premium" carrier has the PSA logo laser etched on it.  Also, the bolt that came with the premium model has HPT/MPI on it whereas the M16 bolt just has MPI.  Chrome lining, gas key, staking and the finish is excellent on both models.  Either one would be a great choice.

The lower build kit and bcg was such an amazing deal for $199 it's hard to believe.

Quoting myself

After I posted this I got the "premium" bcg lubed up really well (froglube) ready to drop into my AR.  The finishes don't seem to be any different at this point.  Really there was only a haptic difference.  Disregard the bold part of my above post.

Mine showed up on the 17th. In a neat box. Will post pic later.

Only thing was the buffer was not a black colored buffer with PSA logo like in the picture. Just a regular buffer.

Arrived 6/21 everything looks good, buffer is standard not PSA black.  I was very impressed with the bcg, mpi marked great staking and good machining.

Got mine today, BCG was Great looking and Bolt has MPI on it and looks top quality.  I inventoried the parts and all were there.  The Buffer was one of the plain silver ones not painted with the PSA logo...BUT the buffer tube was so scuffed up it looked like an old  Leather Wallet! (see below)  I called Customer Service and was only on hold for a couple of minutes they said they would email me a return label and get a replacement on the way, the customer service was great!  The Buffer Tube had the buffer and spring inside backwards and was tossed in the lower build kit  box without any other packing; I'm not sure if the rattling around during shipping was the cause of the damage or it was scratched before packing...I hope the replacement comes with a bit more care and no damage.  I'll let you know when it comes.

finally got around to looking at the bcg.  it is mpi marked, but look at this staking.

is it good enough??

will be going into a 10.5" PSA upper and onto a full-auto Vietnam-era M16 lower.

That's not a really deep staking job.  You could check with local gunsmiths to see if anyone has a MOACKS tool and do it yourself.

Kit one as it arrived,   Oddly it shipped second and the first kit will be here today.   Not sure WTF is up with that unless UPS guy is robbing me!

Noticed this today...  My wife already has the after ordering 2 Lower build kits and 2 6.8 uppers with 5 mags each.     (have 6.8 bolts on backorder through brownells)  Ordered same time as upper and one shipped yesterday

Doesn't look quite as deep as mine but my phone won't show enough detail for a comparison.  I'd compare with a friends or have someone at a dealer or a gunsmith make a comment.

Mine looks like a good quality BCG and  all I could complain about was the tore up looking buffer tube which could have been bad packaging that caused it.  See my post just above yours ...

I'm supposed to have a replacement arriving in a couple of days for the buffer tube and was going to make a comment after I received the replacement.

6/28/13 .. Replacement Buffer Tube came today packaged much different and looks perfect!  Thanks PSA!

I got mine on Monday (the first round of the sale) and the bolt is marked hpt/mpi. Anyone else get hpt/mpi? I had to go back and check the ad description but it only said MPI.

I got one too

Had another one that came a couple days earlier that was just MPI

The one marked hpt/mpi looked like somebody dropped it in the ocean or something....marks all over it but it cleaned up nice...i'm happy

I got one from the first sale .  My bolt was marked MP and looks to be of good quality.  I did notice that the current sale no longer list "MPI bolt".

Yeah. Mine was definitely factory test fired and not completely cleaned up. But that doesn't really bother me. I haven't lubed and installed it yet.

Got mine yesterday, and it is also marked HPT/MPI. My staking is also much deeper than the ones previously posted.

My bcg sku number is 23881.  Finish is very flat black.  It does have HPT/MPT marking on it.  Staking looks awesome, not like the 8784 sku bcg I have.  Costs a lot less too.

My buffer tube has similar flaws as well.  It has "dimples" or "chinks in the aluminum.  I emailed them to see what my choices are.  I have purchased other kits without any issues.  I believe these were not damaged during shipping, but after manufacturing.  The parts people probably don't even inspect the parts before shipment.
