Good times for those of us in the upstate! well darn.. bit envious bout the cabela's :/ Has anybody heard an exact location or anything from SHOT? I'm hoping nothing has changed since PSA posted that. They haven't posted anything on their FB page. |

Hopefully they will get some nice incentives like Amazon to come to SC. It is all about incentives to get the companies. With that said, Amazon is a flop as most all the employees are from a temp service |

So is there a Beaufort store? I've never been to the storefront. I thought they were online only when I last was stationed in SC. Four years until I retire... wonder if they'll have a need for a retired zoomie. Yea there is. It even has an indoor range as well. Very nice little store.. I went there with my brother a while back when he graduated from Paris Island. Pretty nice folks. worth a drop in. |

WOW!!! If Ashley is y'alls benchmark on "hot" or "knowledgeable about firearms".....well, I guess I'll heed my momma's words and not say anything at all. thats just harsh man. when was the last time you saw a beautiful woman who knew anything at all about guns working in a gunstore? yea she may not be any larry vickers gun wise, but considering the dudes i usually find in gunstores, well i dont swing that way, and i'd rather be waited on by her any day. (no offense to the other store staff, the guys are great) Oh and the irony of your post is your not heeding your mommas words at all by it. :) |
|
I wasn't just talking about her lack of gun knowledge. All I'm saying is some of you fellas need to get out more. The talent pool gets MUCH deeper. But hey, if that's what does it for you, at least you don't ever have to worry about asking too much out of life.
As far as not heeding my momma's words, well, that would explain all the butt whoopings I took from her. |

Looks fade, and wont always be there... the true measure of beauty is the personality along with the rest of the package. ![]()
lol sometimes some things just dont stick, even when momma uses a stick.

How can you say shes not hot? https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/557802_10151077524822097_1865348372_n.jpg https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/533361_10150814812537097_446367345_n.jpg https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/562828_10150703219067097_273168284_n.jpg Oh! She's got nice elbows! |
How can you say shes not hot?
Just like this.....SHE'S NOT HOT. Don't know what you know about photography but even the hotest models have their pcitures "touched up" and air brushed. In this case, some more than others. Besides, I for one don't think PSA needs this kind of "marketing" to sell their products. I mean, "built by angels but tough as hell," who writes this stuff...and hopefully they didn't get paid for it. Don't get me wrong, noobs and mall ninjas and old men that giggle anytime a young female talks to them might dig it but its lost on anyone that is serious about tactical weapons. If I worked for PSA, I'd be insulted that this was the marketing avenue that my company chose to take. I guess I take too much pride in myself and my abilities and would take my job too serious to stoop to trying to gain business by peddling sub-standard flesh (flesh at all for that matter) to try to sell a rifle. Having shot and owned PSA rifles, I don't think they need to go this route to sell their product, but obviously someone didn't get enough attention when they were in highschool and they feel differently. Whatever works for ya. I'm out! |

Whatever works for ya. I'm out! Perhaps I should have said "how can you say shes not hot, and mean it" LOL. Yes, thats normal these days.. anyone who takes photos has their professional shots touched up. In person she's just as lovely, even though not airbrushed. While i see your point of the marketing that way, i never viewed it as a way to get guys to buy the guns.. i viewed it as a marketing strategy that was targeted at girls. Guys know what guys want usually gun wise. if they dont they have a buddy who can and usually does steer them one way or another. the Angels line i thought was brilliant, espeically knowing how many women do not like guns, or are scared because theyve never been taught. Calling her sub standard or any woman that for that fact is insulting to all women. and blatantly rude. While you may not think shes attractive, there is no reason to be insulting. I think your points on the marketing are way off, and you missed the point of it. While a pretty girl and a gun or a pretty girl and a car, are awesome to look at, i doubt it made any impact on a mans desire to purchase either, I know it doesnt sway my decisions. anyways, back to the subject.. any news on the upstate store?!?! |

Who gives a shit about that girls looks I already have a hot wife what I don't have is a PSA in Greenville. Where is it going to be located I've been begging for the last few years I'm excited lol tru enough. where we dont know. No one has chimed in from psa about the location since they wrote they had to delay the announcement. |
|
If I had to guess, they won't make an announcement until all of the "I" dotting and "T" crossing is done with regards to contracts and the property and things of that nature. If PSA is smart, they won't say a word until all of that has taken place.
GCO, look at companys like DD, LMT, LaRue, POF, AI.....all serious AR companys. How many "angel-like" women do you see marketing their products? They pride themselves on the product and that reputation alone, not sub-standard flesh, is what sells their products....to men AND women. There's no reason PSA has to stoop to that level. If you really think they're using the likes of Ashley to appeal to women, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn and some ocean-front property in Arizona I'll sell you. That said, I get it, you're a PSA homer....I believe y'all call them "fanboys" on here. |

Personally i think they're waiting for some stock to fill the shelves LOLZ ![]()
true about the other companies.. but it could also be said they're missing a market that is largely untapped. Look at that show that was on "American Guns" they did seem to have no issue pimping out the guys wife and 16 year old daughter. Your comments about standards are still rude. Regardless how you show about other companies advertisements are done. How woudl you like it if someone called you sub standard? All i'm saying is we disagree, but there is no reason to be hurtful or rude in that disagreement. I thought you were done with that part of the topic? I see no reason to continue discussing it as we'll never agree.
Nice on the name calling. Yes I love to root for PSA. They are my Home team. They are also growing at an exponential rate, and have the problems that come along with that. I find that there is nothing wrong with being a "fanboy" or "homer" as you call it. After all there are pleanty of them in every walk of life. Look at ford and chevy fans. Ravens or 49'ers fans... there you go. |

I'm looking forward to them getting stripped lowers back in stock. |

When you get back in the state drop by their store and you can probably score some lowers if you are early. |

GCO, it's not rude, it's just my opinion. I never called her ugly. I said she's not "hot." With regards to my "substandard" comment, quite frankly if you're going to stoop to using flesh to sell products, you might as well use the highest grade, or highest standard, of flesh money can buy. "Sub" would imply it's below that highest standard. The ugliest thing in this whole debate is the truth. PSA doesn't need an "angel" to sell their products. That's something I would expect out of an up-start company. Not a company well-established in their market.
If someone calls me substandard, hopefully they can give supporting factors as to what led them to that opinion of me. But in the end, they're still entitled to their opinion of me. No harm, no foul. If you're going to put your face on something for the world to see, you better be willing to to have others give their opinion about it. Now where's that store in the upstate going to be again? |

Don't hold your breath on Cabela's. We were supposed to get one and another Bass Pro in GA. Both bailed because of economy. Don't believe it until the doors open. We have a cabelas, they're the furthest thing from town and didn't get the business they were expecting. Having one locally isn't that cool because they're the most expensive thing in town. Is fun to look at the displays of animals at this point. |

Is fun to look at the displays of animals at this point. Cabelas came out and made an official statement so I think the odds of them coming to Greenville are better than not. That said, I couldn't agree more. Places like BPS and Cabelas are tourist-driven. They don't put all of the taxidermy and fish tanks and shooting games in there for the "regulars" to see each and every time they come in. They're targeting tourists. I don't know if I'd call Greenville a tourist destination and this is Cabelas' first venture into the southeast market. They're based out of Nebraska and have always focussed more on the midwest and northern parts of the country. Aside from Greenville, the closest Cabelas is in Wheeling, WV and then Hamburg, PA. I'm sure they'll get all of the "new kid in town" attention when they first open up but when people realize they're prices aren't any better, and places like BPS and Cabelas aren't know for their in-store customer service, their business will slow down some. Even still, PSA and Cabelas draw different clientele so I question the impact one will have on the other. I do know that most shoppers like to support local business, so....we shall see. |

ive heard on woodruff road more than once, we shall see? personally i prefer somewhere within rock throwing distance of my house! lol hmmmmm come to think of it they are clearing a pretty good size lot of land at the top of my street! **FINGERS CROSSED** lol I'm not that familiar with the upstate. I too have heard alot about woodruff road.. I assume that's a big built up area? and is that greenville area or spartanburg side? as for cabellas, i bet it'd be nice to have around, but i 'd also bet i wouldnt shop there much. |

My wife said that they are working on a renovation of the old CompUSA off Woodruff rd but that could be anything however it seems like the right size.
It would probably do well being close to the Cabellas as funny as that sounds. Anyway hopefully they will tell is so as to end speculation on the new location. I would like to take this time to officially request a series of Billet grand opening lowers ( I know but a man can dream) If it weren't for the craziness I think it would be long past due for them to do a run of billet lowers. |

CompUSA would be a good size.. although it depends how big theyre planning on going. the Beaufort store is much smaller than the Fernandina Store. |
