Maybe it's just me ,but why not make a front sight post optional?

Saves you time of installing them and saves me time of buying one then pounding it off to add a low pro gas block.

Or even an option for a low pro gas block instead of the FSB?

Anyone else want this option or am I alone.

Love your products PSA!!!!!

Front Sight Post or Front Sight Base? It seems like you are mixing the terms.

it would be a nice option on your barrels/upper assemblies (lo-pro installed with no handguards) in case someone wants to install a rail you don't sell, or some of the ones that are cheaper at other vendors

its something to consider

I actually really agree with this.  I would love to be able to get a rail you don't sell...  well, wait, no.  What I REALLY want is just for PSA to have the rail systems I want/like and then everything would be kosher.

However, since that's likely not going to happen, I think offering an option for no handguards and a low profile gas block would be wonderful.

I assume you all build to order, right?  Meaning, you don't have assembled uppers just laying around.  You actually wait for the order to come in and then build it to what the customer ordered, yes?

Thank you for the input.

We have specific build procedures for the models we offer.  To keep costs down, and increase efficiency, we limit the options available.  Another cost saving process is not to have excess inventory tying up capital due to the difference between forecasted, and actual, demand.

Much like BMW, here in SC, where all of the cars rolling out of the plant are sold before they begin production, and options are limited to specific model lines.

For those who want a more exotic combination, we offer individual parts for sale so that they may build whatever they can imagine.

I was wondering about this whole thing myself, but your explanation makes a lot of sense.  Given the quality and extremely high value of your products, I think I can forgive you on this one.  Isn't really a big deal for me anyway.  Keep doin what youre doin!

Was typing to fast, fixed the mix match wording. I didn't mean the post but the whole gas block ( FSB ). Everyone else seemed to figure it out with no issue.
