You're tracking info is very misleading- as is your lead times posted on your web site. I finally got in touch with your customer service and they did nothing for me except try and charge me a restocking fee of 10% for cancelling the order and that equates to about $65- a punishment fee for your screw up. You should have refunded my shipping for jacking me around so bad...I really hope your product is as good as they say it is because I could have got what I wanted from BCM in about 4 days (And I actually believe them) and I know there stuff is good. You guys need to fix your tracking info instead of making out like I didn't read your posts- I did. Emailing me to say my order has shipped when it hasn't ( and that was over a week ago ) is not honest business practice. Telling your customer that "its just the way our system is set up" is unacceptable. Change it. You want my return business? Try treating me like a customer instead of a thorn in your side.

My argument stands. All I want is a straight answer from PSA and I'm not getting it. Check the board, I'm not alone on this.
4/3/2012 12:28:24 PM EDT
[#7]
So, what did you order?
4/3/2012 12:31:10 PM EDT
[#8]
Rifle kit- 20"
4/3/2012 12:58:23 PM EDT
[#9]
when did you order your rifle kit?

has it been 15 work days?

I've ordered one rifle kit back in October and got it within their stated times.  Ordered a complete upper last month and got it within stated times.

ok, i see you ordered on Mar 16.  Did you get UPS notice on the 26th?

Usually, you would get the UPS notice right away, and then you'd still be waiting about 15 business days.

so it's only about 12 business days, so maybe you should see UPS tracking movement in a few days.
4/3/2012 1:16:52 PM EDT
[#10]
I got an email the day I ordered that summarized the order complete with the shipping label it generated ect. The email on the 26th specifically stated that it had been shipped. It hasn't shipped. I understand everyone in the industry is busy right now but all I wanted was a straight answer and so far I haven't gotten that.
4/3/2012 1:25:15 PM EDT
[#11]
It would help if they had at least acted like they cared but when I finally got through they simply told me they would charge a restocking fee of 10%. No apologies, no real explanation. I just hope PSA doesn't go the same route as all the other"fad" manufactures that ride the money wave only to become a bargain barrel company that no one cares about. You really get what you put into it- If a company doesn't care then neither will the customer. They could still make this right if they were only honest with me and maybe give me a break on the $30 for shipping- as it stands now, I'm just going to stay with the companies I trust despite the higher price tag.
4/3/2012 1:25:19 PM EDT
[#12]
As stated under each upper on our website:

*Please allow up to 15 business days for your Complete Assembled Upper to ship from our facility.  Holiday and special lead times can be longer*

Shipping labels are created shortly after orders are placed.  Shipping labels update when the product leaves our facility and are en route to their destination. You will be emailed tracking information when the order leaves our facility, however if you receive one shortly after you place your order and it remains dormant, don’t be alarmed. Your tracking information will be updated when it leaves our facility and is still subject to the aforementioned lead time.  If your tracking number goes beyond the listed lead time please get in contact with us via email or phone and we will look into your issue.

Your order should be shipped out tomorrow.

****I just checked and your order is on the rack to be picked up by UPS this evening.****

because I could have got what I wanted from BCM in about 4 days

So why did you even  go with PSA in the first place then?

Oh yea......THE PRICE!!!!

Read their terms and be patient, you'll receive your build soon enough.
4/3/2012 5:02:34 PM EDT
[#15]
I don't think it has anything to do with being patient.  Their ordering/notification system is fundamentally flawed, and it is extremely evident by all of the posts on just this forum.  Printing the shipping label and sending the notification email up front causes nothing but confusion for first time orders, or those that don't read this boards.  You see the number of posts here, imagine if you don't check this board, and combine that with the difficulty of getting their CS folks on the phone?

PSA has great prices.  However, people are going to start to be willing to pay a few dollars more for the same product with
better CS and the correct products in the box when they receive it.
4/3/2012 6:08:22 PM EDT
[#16]
OP, simply put YOU ARE WRONG. Their shippng policies are clearly stated on the web page. I buy and sell many, many items on the net, Golf, Hunting, etc related. I use the pay pal shipping function and I print my shipping labels as soon as I receive payment. I clearly state in all my sales when the item will be shipped ( within 4 business days) but the shipping label is printed and the notice is sent as soon as I pay for the shipping label. The shipping company updates the shipping status, I DON't. When it's received by the shipping company (either usps, ups, fedex) they update the package. Like Palmetto, I state when it will be shipped (for me within 4 business days, Palmetto State says 15 business days) and then it is up to the shipping company. LIGHTEN UP FRANCIS.

I unfortunately ordered my last kit from Delton on 2-27-12 and they still can't tell me when it will ship. Palmetto said yours ships tomorrow. CHILL
4/3/2012 7:04:17 PM EDT
[#17]
Wow, the shipping information is printed in red on just about every page on the website and also it has been mentioned on here many times.

I just got two MOE build kits today and the shipping notification I got was right on.
4/3/2012 7:17:31 PM EDT
[#18]
Thanks Palmetto, I appreciate the reply. Hope your product is as good as I hear because its the last time ill be doing business with you. I see your not sorry for the confusion and unwilling to work it out. As for the lead time and assembly time well... i still don't think its within the parameters of the above statement from your website- If I received a SECOND email declaring that it has shipped then I'm going to take that for what its worth in plain English. Unanswered calls and unapologetic CS will simply make me vote with my feet. As for your fans? Well I'm glad you like PSA and I'm sure you had a different experience than me so by all means, keep buying from them. I went with PSA on reputation and good reported CS. Unfortunately that wasn't my experience.. I hope you all can stop taking a poke at one another now

Nope just you.
4/3/2012 9:00:50 PM EDT
[#20]
OP you are WAY out of line.

Five minutes on this board and you would have known their shipping policies, known that they are backed up, and known that 15 other jerks before you have complained about the shipping label being printed when the order is entered and not when the item is actually shipped.  You could have also read their policies right on the website when you ordered.

If people like you were not clogging their phones and email with you questions like this that should have NEVER had to be asked, our real legitimate issues would get resolved faster.

Your failure to read should not become thier problem and delay real legitimate customer service issues.

Maybe they should have come to your house the next day and assembled the rifle kit right there in your living room.

Jesus, you find this board to bitch and moan, find it to read a little something else.
4/3/2012 9:11:14 PM EDT
[#21]
why would they have anything at all to apologize for?  It's been 12 buisness days since you ordered, and its shipping on the 13th business day.  Exactly in line with their parameters CLEARLY on their site.  There has been absolutely NO problem with your order, so they have NO reason to contact you further.  PSA responding to this thread is above and beyond normal business practices.

I'm glad you won't be returning to them for business.  More for me, plus one less crybaby clogging up their inbox and messageboard.

wow kiwi, it's the same answer every thread. just be patient. it will get to you.
it's a custom build each and every time.

have you checked times with other places?  PSA is the best bang for the buck.

If you want it really really fast, source it locally.  You're in CA, they are in SC.  It will take some time to get to you once it ships too.
If it shipped tonight, you'd probably see it Friday or Monday.  That's pretty reasonable.

A few years ago, I ordered 7 barrels, handguards, etc. to convert 7 of our Vietnam-era M16 rifles to 16" and it took about nine months before we got all the parts in.

I need to convert three more rifles soon and hopefully, this time, I'll just get complete uppers.

I'd happily wait the three weeks.

I'm hoping to do 10.5" uppers on these three rifles.

Some of you people are amazing.

I grew up in a time where if you wanted a box of rocks, you had to fill out an order form, mail it in with a check, wait for the check to clear, and then you had another 6-8 weeks for delivery.

By the time you got what you ordered, you forgot you ordered it.

i ordered 20" kits 2 days before you and they shipped out the same day as yours

know why i'm not upset about that?  because i knew going in as it fucking says that's the case right there on that same website i ordered it off of

i ordered some 14.7 and 16s on the same day, the 16s still say shipping label created, the 14.7s don't even have numbers yet.  know why i'm not upset about that?  see above

I can see someone maybe missing something in their excitement to buy, but once they see that they made the mistake, man up and say you goofed. Don't keep blaming somebody else. You never learn that way.

You're old as dirt too aren't you.

They had the adds on tv for all kinds of cool stuff for kids, but half the adds didn't have numbers to call to order, and if they did, your parents wouldn't let you call because it cost them about two hours wages for a long distance call back then.

So, you had to sit through the commercial 254 times just to get the entire address written down.
They said it really fast, so you couldn't get it down, and you'd have to keep watching all the station's shows for a couple of days just to get it all. Advertising genius.

I bet you licked Greenbax too didn't you?

ETA

We'd get about 500 books of Greenbax stamps and order our summertime fun stuff around November it seemed. Then, about April or May, the horse shoe sets, or whatever else would finally come in and you'd go pick them up ( at least we did ) at the grocer, ( Piggly Wiggly ). lol

People are so impatient now.

My PSA AR is shooting like a dream. I got the "Your package has shipped" email the next day after I purchased it, and received the 14.7" CHF upper in 10 business days. Great company to deal with. Will do A LOT more business with them in the future.

I think their customer service could be a little more communicative with the customer. Today was my 15th business day so I called. I was told that my order hasn't shipped because the hand guard I ordered for one of my uppers is out of stock. No one called me and told me that. So my order has been delayed because of that. I would have liked to have known that in advance, but I guess I had to call to get info I should have been provided. Hopefully they will call me back and let me know if I can ship my other upper with regular rifle hand guards.

I don't mind longer than a 15 business day period of wait; but communication could use work. Though the guy I dealt with was very helpful and friendly and apologized. Hopefully they call me back and let me know what's going on.

HAHAHA! No dude. Only one of my uppers had the Midwest Industries T15 (I think it was). The other had the regular rifle length. They have THOSE (regular) in stock, but that quad rail is gone.

I am waiting to hear back if they can ship my one upper while I wait for the other. But no man, they told me rifle and MOE are in stock.

Edit by PSA - Sorry for the delay - We had a batch of T15's that were damaged and unusable in builds.  We have replacements on the way from Midwest, but they are not in yet.  IM your order number and I will handle your order.
