Ok so i had a problem with my bcg,I went through three sets of gas rings within about
a 1000 rounds.Well psa took care of my problem no questions sent me a new carrier, new gas rings etc.
Took the rifle out yesterday had some problems,so after 70 rounds of ammo i packed it up and went home.
To my surprise when i took the bolt out of the carrier i found this.

I'm not an armorer so I won't try to diagnose your problem (unless its obvious), but I am interested in some more information.

Can you go into some more detail about the problems you are having? Is that gap in the gas ring a change from what it was like when it was replaced? What lube are you using and how much?

FWIW, my bolt literally looks wet with lube at all times and I've never had a problem. It did fit pretty tight in the carrier for the first few hundred rounds. Now it still fits tight but smoothed out significantly. Not sure if you cleaned your bolt before the picture, but if you didn't that looks completely dry to me.

At the end of the day, if it's a problem with the rifle I'm sure PSA will take care of it.

Yeah i don't run the bolt dry like that,I think you can get a better picture
when it's clean.

What is that "ledge" on the tail of that bolt?  It seems the normal bevel is interrupted by a step around the radius of the bolt.  Interesting.
