Are the 16" Hammer Forged Mid-Length barrels still made by FN? Past posts indicated the barrels have the "FN" stamp with typical NATO marks - just received mine and it doesn't have any of the above. Thanks!
Also, shows wear and fouling - looks like test firing or it's been previously used but earlier response from PSA indicates shouldn't be. What's going on??? |

I think they're still made by FN, but they now have them roll marked with PSA info.
Since I just placed an order for one, I sure hope they're still FN mfg'd. More info in this link: PSA barrel roll marks... ETA...PSA also test fires each upper, so some fouling and handling evidence is normal. |

Quoted:
From the PSA Rep on the other post - "Barrel is either roll marked "5.56 NATO 1/7 MP CHF CL PSA" or "5.56 NATO 1/7 MP CHF CL PALMETTO" depending on date produced." Mark on upper I just received - "5.56 NATO 1x7 -CHROMED-" Will ping their customer service, too. This is a typical NATO mark My FN barral says the same thing, but has the FN roll mark....I got mine before they changed the roll mark. Also, they test fire all uppers to ensure they function so yes you will see some fouling. |

Hey guys, I just ordered a 16" CHF Midlength upper a few days ago. (Monday, Jan30)
I ordered it with the standard handguards. Can anyone tell me whether they ship with a round or triangular handguard cap? General concensus is triangular for rifle and midlength, and round for carbine, but I have read that they could possibly ship with either one. Roll of the dice perhaps??? Thanks. |

I ordered the exact same one the exact same day Can't wait Paul Quoted:

UPDATE Hats off to PSA!! After IM'ing with PSA Rep on this Board, they immediately sent me a UPS return slip and had the correct upper to me in about a week. The fit and finish matches the quality of the lower and LPK and I can't wait to get it on the range!
For PSA - keep up the quality and keep the prices down! I know how hard it can be to manage rapid success in business and echo many of the members on here when I say to be patient if you run into any problems....they will make it right! Hard to find this type of quality at the prices they are offering. Will be back to PSA when I get the bank account back up!!!! |
