So I received my PSA order today. On my upper receiver the finish is marked and worn off at all places where if it were assembled. Around the catch area for charging handle, inside the receiver as if BCG has been installed, in front and on barrel threads, and also on the top rail like it had a sight on it. Looks like it was assembled before? Any one else seen this before? PSA?

They test fire all of their uppers now, signs of that?

Possible I guess. But I only ordered the upper receiver (dust cover and FA) not a completed upper. Would they actually test fire every upper receiver?  Seems odd to me.

Your thread title does say "Complete upper receiver previously assembled", so we assume that you were talking about a complete upper

That's the way they refer to it. So to be more specific it is a complete upper reciever not a complete upper half/ assembly.

Is it possible that it was assembled previously? I did order BCG and charge handle also. My order was 00099829. Thank you for responding!

Thanks for the inquiry.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

We do not knowingly sell used upper receivers.  We do, however, have lots of new faces and a newly re-organized warehouse.   We will have a better idea of where it came from when we get it back.  A return label will be sent with your new upper.

Hopefully those new faces aren't the ones building the uppers. I just ordered an upper and a full rifle kit. Can I trust these with my life?

New hires don't necessarily mean lack of experience assembling / working on guns.

If I lived in SC, I would be a new hire , and I've been working on guns for 30 years.

Mechanical aptitude goes a long way in someones ability to work on stuff, and AR's really aren't that difficult a platform.

One of my orders came in today (16" LW mid-length CHF upper). Looks pretty good overall. Some of the anodizing on the upper is splotchy, and the FSP looks a smidge uneven, but for $469.95, I can deal with it.

And so the saga continues. As they said they would they sent me a new upper receiver. This one is a stripped unit. I ordered and paid for a "complete" upper with FA and dust cover installed as my original order should have shown. Trying to contact them is a joke at best. Certainly the "swamped from big sale" is about worn out. Called, emailed, sent IM on here. Come on really? A month later I'm left shaking my head. Perhaps my expectations are to high?

Sorry to say, but good luck getting a response ... I'm still waiting for mine.
