I assembled my first AR last week using a PSA 16" CHF LW complete upper, and I believe the front sight may be canted to the right.  It looked a little off center when I unboxed it, but I wasn't sure if my eyes were tricking me.  I sighted it in at 50 yds at the range last weekend using a borrowed Colt 6920 carry handle, and I had to adjust the windage 23 clicks right of mechanical zero to get on target.  I didn't expect it to be sighted in at mechanical zero, but 23 clicks seems pretty far off, and the rear sight doesn't have much travel to the right remaining for windage adjustments.

Has anyone else had problems with PSA front sights being canted?  Is there anything I can do to fix it, or would I need PSA or another gun smith to look at it?  I emailed PSA earlier in the week, but haven't gotten a response yet.

I may try to find another cheap rear sight to test it with to make sure the carry handle isn't the problem, but the front sight did look a little off when I unboxed it.

Advice?  Thanks!

Very good.  I guess I'll just wait for PSA to respond to my email and hope they'll take care of me.  I emailed 5 days ago.  How long should I wait before pinging them again?

IM sent to PSA.

I know PSA is extremely busy with their great prices and growing reputation, so I'm doing my best to be patient.

I just realized I never gave an update on this issue.  PSA responded to my IM and emailed me a shipping label to send the upper back to them on their penny.  They fixed the canted sight, and replaced the front sight post I tore up with my punch when trying to adjust it without a front sight tool and shipped it back.  I finally got it out to the range last weekend and it was much much better.  At mechanical zero on my colt carry handle, it was only about 3 inches left at 50yds.  Previously, it was closer to 20" left at 50yds.  I was able to adjust the sight and got it centered with about a 2MOA group of 30 rounds.

Wish I hadn't had to send it back in the first place, but I really appreciate PSA picking up the shipping and repairing the issue quickly and effectively.

Glad it worked out for you in the end.
And sounds like it shoots like a beast now.
