Does PSA have any special barrel break in instructions for their upper assemblies?  I just got the 16" 4150 CL and notice it has been test fired, did not know if they "break them in" at the factory before shipping out.  I plan on only shooting brass cased, non steel core ammo.

Thanks

Wilson barrels are factory lapped, so they should not require break in.

Our hammer forged barrels should not require break-in because of the process, however, if one would like to take no chances, use the following procedure:

Clean after each shot for the first 5 shots. Then clean every 5 shots for the next 50 shots.

I'm curious about this as well.  I just received my SS 16" Wydle MOE middy.

These barrels have been lead lapped and do not require a break in, but one can always follow the above procedures if they wish to do so.

No. Chrome lined barrels require no break in at all. Excessive cleaning of your weapon will damage it.

The 16" 223 wylde stainless is not chrome lined, but it is lead lapped, so no break-in is required.
