I've got some A2 uppers coming in that I bought from an EE seller that will need barrels. Do you guys anticipate making your barrels available for sale by themselves? (Such as your mock-Dissipator barrels and the incoming mid-length Dissipator barrels?) As of right now, the only barrels you list for sale are some YHM and DD barrels, many of which are frequently out of stock.
Or, if you guys plan to offer A2 uppers as options in the near future, I'd just order complete uppers and resell the A2 uppers I have currently en route. Or, if I were to order a mock-Dissipator upper assembly, with the currently offered flat-top upper, could I request in the special ordering instructions that it be shipped unassembled? (Since you do build to order, this would actually be quicker and easier for you.) This way, I could assemble my own upper and keep the flat-tops for future projects. Failing the options above, I could, if necessary, just order complete, assembled, flat-top uppers from you and disassemble them myself, only to reassemble them in the configuration I want as an end result. |

+1 to what the original poster said.
I have a C7-style upper that I wanted to use with the dissipator middy barrel. I need the bolt/charging handle/etc. too, so I just planned to take the PSA flat top upper receiver and MOE handguards off and sell it in the EE. Being able to buy only what I need, not having to sell the upper receiver/handguards, and saving PSA some labor too (just crank out the parts - no assembly required) would be nice. Not many companies sell barrels by themselves now, for some reason. Getting an FN barrel for my build would be awesome, as I value FN barrels as much as Daniel Defense barrels, based on my prior experience with each company's barrels. Good stuff. |

Not many companies sell barrels by themselves now, for some reason. Because demand has outstripped supply. One of the reasons we sought out FN was their production capability. Once regular shipments commence, we should have enough hammer forged barrels in stock to sell separately. |
